Flowers of DC Spring, episode 2: Azalea Collection, National Arboretum, Washington DC.
Here’s an etegami of an unusual azalea I found in their lovely collection on 4/27/13. I used a bamboo reed pen for the sumi ink. I’ll have to practice this method more — I didn’t get enough ink on the nib and had to keep redipping. Plus, it got very blotchy. Here’s a picture of the type of pen, Yasutomo bamboo reed pen.
