Sink cat

SinkCat.2013-04-13A little etegami of a cat in a sink, inspired by this image and poem from the blog Stories with no Books. The cat’s name is Siri, and blogger recounted a night when she got up to go to the bathroom, and luckily turned on the lights before turning on the faucet. Siri had found herself a cool place to nap in the sink. The snippet of her poem that I used is as follows:

always remember
to turn on the lights,
because you don’t know
who might be sleeping
under the faucet

If only I could capture Siri’s gorgeous silver coloring. I did use silvery gansai for this etegami, but it’s best seen in person.

    1. I wish my cats would do this, I would love to paint them in my sink. Maybe once it gets hotter, they will try to cool off in the sink.
